| It's the 20th of September and we're on our way out to the
coast again. It's been a productive summer here. It looks like the
weather out there is going to be great. As per usual we'll drive the 10
hours to North Vancouver and stay the night at a motel. We'll catch the
10:30 am ferry over to the island and be at the boat by 12:30. |

|
| September 22nd. We've always wanted to spend the night
anchored on the North side of th Montague Harbour spit, off the shell
beach. Well tonight seemed to be a perfect night for it. What a
beautiful sun set. |
|
| The morning of the 32rd I heard some strange noises outside.
I went to the head and was able to stick the camera out the port hole
and take these shots. |
|
| Someone was using Bullfrog
as a dining room. I shooed it away as it would have probably sh*t in Bullfrog and she always did stink
after this event. It was only when we put her away at the marina that
we realized the the fish head had been left behind and had started to
rot. |
|
| This was the warmest day we have ever spent on the coast. Our
thermometer read 20c. I had always wanted to try the south facing
crescent beach for sun bathing, well here was our chance. It wasn`t as
nice as I`d imagined as the shells were kind of hard and sharp. We
decided to go where we knew the sand was amazing. We would head to
Sidney Spit Park. |

|
| On our way to Sidney Island we caught a pic of this. It`s
either Pacific Swift or Pacific Grace, two training vessels
based out of Victoria. |

September 25th Other than a bit of sea weed, this is one of the nicest sand beach in the Gulf Islands. |
| September 27th We were able to stay at the dock which has never been in the water when we`ve been here. There was a guy on another boat who knew where to put down the crab traps. He told us and boy was he right. Here I am with my crab killer after a successful hunt. |

It is a beautiful true sand beach., miles long. It`s hugely
popular and one can see the evidence that children enjoy making forts
out of the drift wood. |
| October 2nd We spent some time at the Southwest yacht club in Tseum Harbour (our yacht club space was all full), provisioned and spent some time with Tom and Connie Shorted and Donna and Clive Timms. Connie drove us to the airport to pick up Steve. We were able to treat him to a fresh crab dinner. |
|
| October 3rd We grabbed a mooring buoy at Bowmount Park on North Pender Island. It has one of our favourite hikes. It took us one and a half hours to go up but... |
|
| this is the view you get. Steve said he had never seen
anything like it before. It is spectacular. It was quite a warm day and
I had to take my shirt off. |
|
| Steve observing from the observation point. |
|
| October 4th Breakfast in the cockpit. Omelets. We went up the mountain again that day. It only took us an hour. |
|
| October 5th |
|
| Crabbies! |
|
| October 6th Breakfast in Montague Harbour. Boat made bread turned into french toast as well as fresh blackberry jam... and bacon. |

| October 7th It promises to be a nice warm day again. We`re going to try the crescent beach again. |
|
| We`ve learned that if you stand on the old stump and hold
your mouth right, you can get cell service here. |
|
| Tres hombres at the crescent beach at Montague Harbour. |

| Steve making sand castles. It was a great day. See you in the spring! |
